THE FOUR FRIENDS AND THE LION STORY

Four friends were gifted in four different fields of magical expertise and they were very proud of their skills.Though the fourth one was not an expert like his friends but was very intelligent and careful.

One day the four of them accompanied one of their mate into the forest to carry out a research, as they were walking deep into the bush, they came upon the bones of an animal scattered around.

MORE TROUBLES FROM OUR KIND

A dog decide to embark on  a journey far from its usual home to sight see the country. A few days later he returned so tired and ecstatic, and his friends asked him to narrate his experience to them which he did, another asked him if he faced problems on the trip. He told them how he met with  too many people and animals along the way bidding him fare well. They did not create any disturbances but allowed him to go his own way.

THE THREE FOOLISH ROBBERS

 Three robbers snatched a box of money from a rich traveler who lost his way. They ran deep into the forest where nobody could trail them. Soon after the excitement the three became very hungry but there was no food in the forest. One of them  suggested he goes look for what they would eat and went to a nearby village to buy food. The other two remained in the forest to take care of the box of money.

THE ILLITERATE AND THE GOGGLE STORY

An illiterate village man who could not read and write, but often saw people wearing goggles for reading books, thought one day, “If I put on this kind of goggle  like these men, then I can as well read books. I must go get one for myself".

THE CUNNING CRANE AND THE CRAB STORY

Once upon a time a number of fish lived in a small pond. They lived very happy all the while there was down pour until summer. soon the water began to dry up. it got lower, to an extent there was hardly enough to hide the fish.
Not far away was located a beautiful and never dry lake. laid under the shadow of great trees. And a Crane lived on the banks of this lake.The Crane preyed on every of the fish in that lake till all was gone, when he couldn't  catch any fish again he decided one day, to try the dry pond where the fishes in there were  gasping for breathe, and thought of a neat trick to get hold of them without trouble. 

THE ANT AND THE DOVE STORY

A beautiful white pigeon lived in the same tree with an ant. The tree grew up to remain on a river bank. Though they were neighbours but never lived like friends, possibly because they are different in sizes and looks. The pigeon watched his neighbor go out to work in the morning and come back to rest at night, likewise the ant but for once they never say hi to one another.

THE CAP SELLER AND THE MONKEY STORY

A cap seller retired under a tree shade  to have some rest after the day's hard  hawking in the sun.

DON'T WAIT FOR GOD

A young man was drowning, and about to die, a good Samaritan came to his rescue to help him out but he refused, saying that God will help him.

THE PEACOCK AND THE CROW STORY

 

Once upon a time a crow lived in the forest and was happy and satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, “and I am so black. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.”

BLAME

One day a man went for a walk on the beach. He saw that a ship full of passengers struck a rock and capsized in the sea. The ship went under water and all the people on board fell into the sea. As they did not know how to swim, they drowned one by one. The man watched all this from the shore but could not do anything to help the people. 

In the evening, he narrated the sad event of the ship's drowning to his friends. Everyone felt sorry for the dead people. The man said, "God has not been just. To kill one sinner aboard the ship he killed so many other innocent people." 

As he was saying this, he felt a pinch on his feet. He looked down. A red ant was biting his toe. Many other red ants were near his feet. In anger, he started stamping his feet to crush the red ants. 

God appeared at the spot and said, "See, how you are killing other innocent ants to kill the one which bit you. You were blaming me for my unjust act. Look at your own actions before blaming me for anything." 

The man felt ashamed as he realized his mistake. 

lesson;

Stop pointing fingers and placing blame on others, your life can only change to the degree that you accept responsibility for it.

TEAMWORK SYNDROME

Once there was a man who was lost while driving through the country. As he tried to read a map while driving, he accidentally drove off the road into a deep muddy ditch. Though not injured, his car was stuck. So the man walked to a nearby farm.

AN ACT OF HONESTY

 An emperor who was growing old and knew it was coming time to choose his successor, decided to do something different instead of choosing one of his assistants or one of his own children.

He called all the young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, "It's time for me to step down and to choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you." The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today. One seed each. It is a very special seed. I want you to go home, plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring to me, and the one I choose will be the next emperor of the kingdom!"

THE GLASS WEIGHT STORY

A psychology professor walked around on a stage while teaching stress management principles to an auditorium filled with students.  As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they’d be asked the typical “glass half empty or glass half full” question.  Instead, with a smile on her face, the professor asked, “How heavy is this glass of water I’m holding?”Students shouted out answers ranging from eight ounces to a couple pounds.She replied, “From my perspective, the absolute weight of this glass doesn’t matter.  It all depends on how long I hold it.  If I hold it for a minute or two, 

THE FOUR GOLDEN FISH STORY

Four golden fish live peacefully in a small pond. Three were small in stature but very friendly  and open to one another except for the fourth one who happened to be the biggest and a snob.

THE OLD MAN AND THE PARROT STORY

An old man was very lonely because he lost hs wife. he missed her very much especially their meal time talk and laughter.
one day the old man decided to buy a parrot. he thought the parrot would be the best pet to have because it could talk to him. the next morning he visited the parrot seller in the morning.

BILL GATES SHORT STORY

I came across the story line of one great thinker in person of Bill gate, the computer giant. As it was narrated,one day he was seriously engaged in a mental exercise at his tender age when his mother was so busy looking for him everywhere. “Bill! Bill!” she called relentlessly.

TELLING LIES JOKE

Two Christian missionaries, David and Michael, were lost in a scorching desert, dying of thirst and hunger when at last they saw a Mosque upfront.

THE GREEDY DOG

A hungry dog was crossing a bridge over a stream with a piece of flesh in his mouth.

WHY THE RHINO IS BAD-TEMPERED

From the outset, the Giraffe was a beautiful animal and had a normal neck just like  though fuller than the Antelope. One year, there was a terrible drought.  All the waterholes dried up, and all the grass became very parched and bitter tasting.  All the animals were extremely hungry.

Giraffe realized that the leaves on the tree tops were still fresh and tasty, and he tried to stretch his neck upwards to reach them, but couldn't. His friend, Rhino, seeing his friend Girrafe try this, laughed at how silly he looked. he extended the mockery to other animals which really got the Giraffe annoyed and stormed off into the bush.

THE SHARK BAIT STORY

A shark research experiment was carried by a marine biologist. He placed a shark into a large holding tank and then released several small bait fish into the tank.

As  expected, the shark quickly swam around the tank, attacked and ate the smaller fish.

THE DROWNING BOY

   A little  boy was bathing in a river and got out of his depth, and was in great danger of being drowned.
 A man who was passing along a road heard his cries for help, and went to the riverside and began to scold him for being so careless as to get into deep water, but made no attempt to help him.

   "Please sir  help me first and scold me afterwards." cried the little boy. But the complainant insisted till the little boy was gone.
Moral
  Give assistance, not advice, in a crisis.

THE YOUNG WIFE

A poor frail farmer lived in a village. He had a beautiful and young wife who always yearned to enjoy life by going to fairs and by spending a lot of money on finery.  But due to his old age and feeble health, the farmer barely dance to her tune, besides he hardly earn more than that which was necessary. So the young wife often felt sad. Most time the couple fought each other as a result of the farmer's inability to meet her taste.

SELFLESSNESS

A voyaging ship capsized during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors who have been a good friends, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.

PRIDE TAKES A FALL

Two trees was planted  by the road side. One a mango and the other a big banyan tree.

The mango with greener leaves bore sweet  and juicy mangoes which attract many people to rest under it shade and equally enjoy it sweet fruit.

THE GOSSIP TEST

 Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem in ancient Greece. 
One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, Do you know what I just heard about your friend?

WHY THE HIPPOPOTAMUS LIVES IN WATER

Many years back the hippopotamus, whose name was idongesit, was one of the biggest kings on the land; he was second only to the elephant. The hippo had two fat wives, of whom he was very fond. As the custom of the land , there was always feasting at the end of every month. The  hippo tends to be an outright bully as he  takes undue advantage to ripoff the peoples benefit on every feast. holding that any beast who will find out what his name was would be served food in the feast, otherwise, they go home empty.
 A curious thing was that, although every one knew the hippo, no one, except his two wives, knew his name.

TWO SALES MEN STORY

Two young men joined a wholesale company together just after graduation. One was fair while the other one was dark in complexion. They worked very hard.
Few years after, the boss promoted the dark one to sales executive while the fair one maintained the sales rep.

 One day the fair guy could not just take it anymore to remain a salesman and tender resignation to the boss,  complaining that the boss did not value hard working staff, but only promoted those who flattered him.

The boss quite knew that he worked very hard for the years, but in order to help him realize the difference between him and dark colleague, the boss asked the fair sales man to do the following. “Go and find out anyone selling water melon in the market?”  he quickly ran the errand and came back to tell the boss that he saw one. The boss asked how much per kg?
  He ran back to the market to ask and returned to inform boss that it's sold for $12 per kg.

The boss told him to wait and see,while he sent the dark guy the same errand. The dark guy quickly went, returned and said, “boss, there was only one person selling water melon. $12 per kg, $100 for 10 kg, he has inventory of 340 melons. On the table 58 melons, every melon weighs about 15 kg, bought from the South two days ago, they are fresh, red and of good quality.”
The fair guy was very impressed and realized the difference between himself and his  dark colleague . He withdrew his  resignation letter  and  learn from his co-worker.

THE HEDGEHOG STORY

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died as a result of the unsympathetic weather.

THE DEAF FROG

A Frog decided to Reach Top of the Tree.
 Spectators at the scene gave them their support, some were chanting "ride on! ride on! while others who think they could not get there were shouting; “Its impossible, Its Impossible…”

Little by little, the frogs felt disappointed and discouraged, except for one of them that continued climbing tirelessly.  soon, listening repeatedly to the cry of the  spectators negative words, made the frogs to abandon the race after all, except for the one frog that, despite what people were saying, continued to climb and finally reached the top of the tree.
 
Amazed by the spectators, who wanted to know how she had managed to get to the top. They came to her and asked her what her secret was.

And it happened to be that… she was deaf!

Moral

 Do not listen to people who are negative in their intentions.
 Be deaf to discouraging words if your aim is to reach your goal

A young christian lady got married and was blessed with four kids. Her early stage of marriage was indeed blissful before her best friend intruded and snatched her husband.

Things grew worse when she was kicked out of her matrimonial home. she thought making peace with her new rival would proffer a solution to her unending problem whereas she posed a nuisance and a threat as far as her husband's new wife is concerned.

Not too long she lost her marriage, one of her kids died. she termed it destiny. in no time another son followed. she concluded that God wants it that way like her devoted  Muslim friend  implied.

Another bombshell happened on the third child and she was still trying to make up with her foe(husband's new wife)  who made her realized that by the time she finished dealing with her she would no longer remember she once had a husband.unfortunately before the beam in her eyes dropped, she had already lost the fourth child. what a pity?
