WHY HAWKS ALWAYS HUNT FOR CHICKS

Once upon time,a hawk admires how a hen cackles that soon he began to fall in love with her. The hawk flew down from the sky and asked her hand in marriage. “Oh beautiful hen, will you marry me? ”

The hen loved the brave, strong hawk  but replied "oh what a privilege, i wish i could but i can not fly as high as you can, but if you can be a little patient while i learn how to fly, with this the marriage will work out so we can live and  fly together.”

The hawk agreed and said "i will be patient with you while you learn to fly but meanwhile i will engage you." Before the hawk went away, he gave the hen a ring. “This is to show that you have promised to marry me,” said the hawk.
However unfortunate, it so happened that the hen had already promised to marry a rooster but because she had a short memory, she forgot to relate it to the hawk. So, when the rooster saw the ring, he became very angry and jealous. he forcefully pull the ring and threw away.
The hen was so frightened at the rooster’s  behavior but could not help it.

When the hawk came a few months later, expecting the hen would be ready for introduction but was disappointed as he saw the hen with new chicks taking covering under her wing. "what is the meaning of this? asked impatiently the hawk, " i thought we were suppose to get married soon.".
The hen without any feeling of remorse told him the truth of what happened between her and the rooster.
The hawk was so furious that he cursed the hen, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier, you cheat?" Now,  for doing this to me i will for ever irk your peace, by hunting your chicks starting from this day” said the hawk. Before the hen could utter a word, the hawk angrily pulled the hen and pick a chick and flew away.
And from that day till date hawks keep hunting chicks.
Moral
promise is a debt.
don't be too forward to make a  promise you can not fulfil.
