The Story of Love and Time

Once upon a time, in an island  lived all the feelings; Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, riches and all others, including Love. One day, there was a news outbreak that the island would sink, so all the feelings constructed boats and left. Except for Love who tend to stay behind to ensure the safe departure of others.

Love decided to hold out until the last possible moment. When the island had almost sunk and every of his colleague had safely gone,he decided to ask for help.

Soon wealth was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, “wealth, can you take me with you?”

but he answered, “No, I can’t. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you.”

Anger was close by so Love asked, “Anger, let me go with you.” “Oh . . . Love, can't you see that i am so angry that I need to be by myself!”  Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. “Vanity, please help me!” “I can’t help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat,” Vanity answered.

Happiness too passed by Love, but  was so busy happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, “Come, Love, I will take you.” It was an elder.
So relieved and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went his own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, his colleague who had earlier arrived before him, “Who Helped me?”

“It was Time,” Knowledge answered.

“Time?” asked Love. “But why did Time help me?” Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, “Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is.

CHRISTMAS-THE GIFT OF LOVE

A short story was told about a man who works very hard to put food on his table. He has a five year old daughter who was very beautiful and heart warming. just two days to Christmas she noticed her father was unhappy owing to the fact that his pocket was very lean. she decided to give his dad a surprise package in her little known way by using up the expensive gold wrap which his dad had the intention to sell to raise money.
Unfortunately on the Eve of Christmas when he got a buyer to buy his gold wrap, he saw that the child had used all of the expensive gold paper to decorate a box she had put under a faded Christmas tree. he became very upset about this and had to punish the child for her wrong deed.

However, the next morning the little girl, filled with the excitement of the season even though they had not much to celebrate, brought this gift box to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy i want you to be happy!"

As he opened the box,he felt embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, now regretting how he had punished her.

But when he opened the beautifully wrapped box, he found it was empty and again his anger flared. " You don't give an empty present to somebody, there ought to be some package inside, however little" he said to the young child.

The little girl looked up at him with sad tears rolling from her eyes and whispered: "Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was all full."

Immediately the father was crushed by these words. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl and asked her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

Shortly after Christmas it was told that the young girl accidentally passed on. The father kept this little gift of love gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced with any challenge he would open the box, take out an imaginary kiss, and remember the love of this beautiful child.
Lesson
Christmas is more of love sharing and not necessarily material things.
Enjoy this Christmas but more importantly put smiles on the faces of the needy- That's what the season is all about-LOVE.

Who is the king of the forest?

When the Tiger jumped on Fox, Fox cried out, "How dare you attack the King of the Jungle!"
Tiger looked at him in amazement, "Nonsense! You are not King!"
"Certainly I am," replied Fox, "All the animals run from me in terror! If you want proof, come with me." Fox went into the forest with Tiger at his heels. When they came to a herd of deer, the deer saw Tiger behind Fox and ran in all directions.
They came to a group of monkeys. The monkeys saw Tiger behind Fox and they fled. Fox turned to Tiger and said, "Do you need more proof than that? See how the animals flee at the very sight me?!"
"I'm surprised, but I've seen it with my own eyes. Forgive me for attacking you, Great King." Tiger bowed low and with great ceremony he let Fox go.

The king and the 10 dogs story

A story about a king was told that he once ordered for 10 dogs to be gathered so that every time a minister of his erred, he would be punished by being thrown to the dogs. One day, a minister voiced his opinion in which erred and it did not please the king, so he was ordered to be thrown to the dogs.
The minister said, "I have served you for 10 years, and is this is how you want to repay me? Give me 10 days before executing this command." The king said, "You shall have your request."
So the minister went to the caretaker of the dogs and said, "I want to look after these dogs for 10 days only." He said, "You shall have your request."
So the minister began looking after the dogs, feeding them, bathing them, and granting them all avenues of play and recreation. After 10 days came the day of sentencing, and the minister was thrown into the prison containing dogs by the king.
The king and all the people who had gathered looked through, to see how the dogs would devour and what an astonishment! The dogs had come to his feet, barking, panting and awaiting. "What have you done with the dogs?!" the king asked.
The minister replied, "I served these dogs for 10 days only, and they did not forget that kindness. But I served you for 10 years, and you have forgotten all of that."

Moral of the story:
Always remember the acts of kindness and the good of people, and beware of forgetting he who served you even for one day.

THE HUNTER AND THE GHOST STORY

A poor hunter went about his daily routine job of animal  hunt in the  forest. He got tired and decided to rest his tired bones under a tree.
close to where he sat, a strange noise ran through his ear drum. he  got up and searched for what's disturbing and saw a dancing bottle beside the tree.
He  opened the bottle to see the disturbing cricket but contrary to what he thought, a thick black smoke emanated and rose to  the sky to form  a ghost with a long beard. The hunter was stoned a fright as he quickly threw away the bottle.
“Give me some work or I shall eat you up.” cried the ghost . “What sort of work do you want ?” asked the hunter in panic, trying to be bold.
“Any kind of work,” the ghost replied. “You let me out from the bottle, so you have to give me work to do. I must keep working, day and night. The moment you stop giving me work, I shall eat you up.”
“Take me to my house then,”  said the hunter. The ghost picked up the hunter. In half a second he reached his house. Again he said, “Give me some work to do or I shall eat you up.” “build me a big house,” the man said.
In a few minutes the house was ready. The ghost again said loudly, “Give me some work or I shall eat you up.”
“Get me plenty of gold, silver and jewels,” the man said. Soon the gold, silver and jewels were intact. “Give me some work or I shall eat you up,” the ghost said.
“Get me some food.” In a second the man found the table loaded with delicious food. He tried to eat, but he got no time. The ghost again said, “Give me some work or I shall eat you up.”
At a point the man got fed up and couldn't even enjoy his new found wealth.
When night came the ghost would not let him sleep. “Give me some work or I shall eat you up,” he said.
The hunter thought of what to do and came up with an idea “Make me a tall pillar, as high as the sky. And be quick.”
In just a few minutes the ghost was back. “The pillar is ready,” he said. “Now give me some work or I shall eat you up.”
“Now listen carefully,” the man said. “Climb up the pillar till you reach the top. Then climb down till you reach the earth. Then climb up to the top and come down again. Keep on doing so till I tell you to stop. And mind you don’t waste anytime.”
The ghost was very happy, for he now had plenty to do. He went up the pillar, came down, went up, came down. He went on doing so.
The man watched for some time. Then he went inside and ate the food the ghost had brought. After that he went off to sleep.
Next morning he got up and went outside. He saw the ghost going up and down the pillar all the time. The man was very happy.
days turned months . The ghost kept on going up and down the pillar. At a point he got little tired. “Please sir,” he said to the man, “may I stop now ? I have been going up and down the pillar for a month.”
"No you cant" replied harshly the hunter.
Another three months passed. Now the ghost was really tired. “Sir,” he said, “I can’t do it any more. I must stop now.”
“You can stop on one condition,” the  said. You must go away from here, and never come back.”
“I promise,” the ghost said.
“Very well, you may stop now. the ghost stopped and disappeared into the thin air.
